The Site of the One Million Signatures Campaign Blocked for the Fifth Time

Saturday 28 April 2007

Change for Equality: The site of the "One Million Signatures Campaign" which aims to provide education to the public and collect signatures in support of a petition demanding changes to discriminatory laws against women, has been filtered for the fifth time in less than 8 months. In other words, the site has been filtered on average every month and half, since the Campaign began activities in August 2007. Campaign members are dumbfounded, and can’t understand how their information sharing activities endanger national security. We wonder exactly how this massive effort and the immense amount of resources utilized to block and filter websites, news outlets and weblogs work to ensure national security?
