Kaveh Ghasemi Kermanshahi was Released from Prison

Change for Equality: Kaveh Ghasemi Kermanshahi, human rights defender, member of One Million Signatures Campaign, Kurdish Human Rights Organization and General Office for Strengthening Unity, who was arrested on February 4th, 2010, was released from prison on May 22, 2010.

According to reports on RAHANA’s (Reports and Human Rights Activists of Iran) website, at the request of judicial officials, his family post bail of $100,000 (100 million Toman) which led to his transfer to general confinement section of Kermanshah’s prison.

Kaveh Ghasemi Kermanshahi spent over 100 days in confinement and his family repeatedly expressed their concerns regarding his deteriorating physical and mental condition.
