Dorsa Sobhani Campaign Activist Released from Priosn

Change for Equality: According to reports by the Committee of Human Rights Reporters Dorsa Sobhani an activist involved in the One Million Signatures Campaign was released from detention on April 21, 2010 on bail. Dorsa was arrested on March 7, 2010 in Sari (northern Iran) and transferred to Section 209 of Evin prison in Tehran. Twenty five days of her time in detention was spent in solitary confinement. It should be noted that this social activist was barred from continuing her education at the university level, due to her belief in the Bahai’i faith and the charges pending against her remain unclear.
