In an interview with the site of Roozonline on September 14, Bahram Ahmadi Amouie, the brother of Bahman Ahmadi Amouie, who was arrested nearly three months ago, explained that: “there is still no news about Bahman and his file has not been registered at the Revolutionary Courts. As such, no one is responsive to the inquiries of our family and given the circumstances his lawyer is not able to prepare a defense case or to follow up on his situation. “

According to Bahram Ahmadi Amouie, the case of his brother is being followed up by his lawyer, Farideh Gheyrat and his wife Jila Baniyaghoub, who was also arrested along with Bahman but released a few weeks ago. Bahman’s parents live in the provinces as such they are unable to follow up his case on a daily basis and his brother, Bahram lives in New Zealand and is in Iran for a visit. In the interview with Rooz Online, Bahram Ahmadi Amouie expressed frustration at the situation of his brother and the lack of responsiveness of the courts. He went further to claim that the continued arrest of his brother, especially given the fact that his case file could not be located in the court, and his lawyer was not able to prepare a defense, was illegal.
