Change for Equality: Maziar Samiee, an active member of the One Million Signatures Campaign and a student activist, who was arrested on October 30, 2007 during a protest at Alameh Tabatabie University objecting to the suspension of University students and prison sentences for student activists, was released on bail on Thursday November 8, 2007. Maziar is an active member of the One Million Signatures Campaign and a member of the Men’s Committee of the Campaign. Maziar spent over 10 days in prison in section 209 of Evin prison which is administered by the Information and Security Ministry. Members of the Campaign welcome his release.
