Nobel Women’s Initiative Supports Shirin Ebadi’s Call for UN Investigation

Change for Equality: The Nobel Women’s Initiative has expressed its support for Shirin Ebadi’s request of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to investigate increased pressure on women’s rights activists in Iran. In response to intense crackdown on women’s rights activists, Shirin Ebadi wrote to the Honorable Ms. Louise Arbour, the High Commissioner on Human Rights in July requesting a delegation visit Iran to investigate the status of women’s rights defenders.
