A Call for Volunteer Translators

Monday 25 June 2007

Change for Equality: The Change for Equality site, dedicated to reflecting the activities of and the debate related to the One Million Signatures Campaign, which seeks to end legal discrimination against women in Iran, is seeking volunteer translators (Farsi to English). As the work of the Campaign has progressed there has increasingly been an interest by non-farsi speaking readers to be informed about our work within this movement. Additionally, presenting our stories in the English site, allows us to share our experiences with equal rights defenders engaged in similar activities around the world.

Those interested in supporting the work of the Campaign in this way, will be asked to take on the translation of 2 articles per month (approximately 4 pages in length).

The Campaign does not accept financial or other support from organizations, funders, or governments, and we ask our volunteers to adhere to these broad standards, in relation to their work in the Campaign. If you are interested in volunteering with us as a translator please contact: forequality@gmail.com

    Hi,

I’ve been a translator (Italian/English)for the past 18 years and even though my mother tongue is Farsi, I’ve never had the chance to translate from Farsi to English. I’ll be more than happy to help you and I believe all Iranians (specially women) should put in their share in this movement. Please contact me at:
